About the Event
"The 25th Annual Light up the Holidays Festival and Parade will be kicked off with the North Pole Christmas Market in Downtown Joliet. Free kids crafts will be provided in the market and costumed characters will be available in the Renaissance Center for family photo opportunities. Musical performances [that includes the Black Willow Brass!] and visits with Santa will take place in the attached Joliet Area Historical Museum. Other free Light up the Holidays activities include the North Pole Park across from the Rialto Square Theatre that will include an iceless skating rink, inflatable snow globe, and a kiddie train. In addition, visitors will enjoy horse drawn carriage rides, Joliet’s tree lighting ceremony, Light up the Holidays Parade, fireworks and more!"
